Preventative Medicine

All Creatures Great and Small Animal Hospital is a full service veterinary facility. Our compassionate and knowledgable veterinarians and staff members strive to provide the excellent veterinary care that your pet deserves. We offer comprehensive care with an emphasis on preventative medicine.

We offer a full range of surgical procedures including spay/neuter, abdominal surgeries, mass removals, feline declaws, and CCL repairs. Prior to surgery, patients undergo a preanesthetic exam and blood testing to ensure they are good candidates for anesthesia. Our veterinarians and veterinary technicians continuously monitor your pet before, during, and after surgery to ensure the patient is responding appropriately to the anesthesia and the surgery itself. Our advanced monitoring equipment includes an ECG to monitor heart rate and rhythm, oxygen saturation, temperature, and blood pressure.

Dental Care

Good oral health is an important part of maintaining the overall health for you pet. Here at our hospital we provide comprehensive dental cleanings for your pet. The process begins with an oral exam of your pet's mouth by the veterinarian. A thorough dental cleaning and evaluation are performed under anesthesia. Because most dental disease occurs below the gum line, where you can't see it, radiographs are taken of each tooth to evaluate the health of the jaw and the tooth roots below the gumline. Dental cleanings include digital dental radiographs, scaling ( to remove dental plaque and tartar), and polishing.

Pain Management

Our pets feel pain just like we do, although they are unable to communicate their pain in the same manner as people. At All Creatures Great and Small, we employ individualized treatment and pain management plans that are unique to each patient's specific needs.

Microchips are a permanent pet ID used to allow lost animals to be reunited with their owners. It is a small computer chip the size of a grain of rice that is commonly implanted in the pet near the shoulder blades.
If a pet who has been implanted with a chip is found and taken to a shelter or veterinarian who has a scanner, the scanner will detect the presence of a chip and the shelter or vet can call a registry to find the owner information.

Hospice/Euthanasia Services

Our staff here at All Creatures Great and Small Animal Hospital, realize this is never an easy decision to make. Saying goodbye to a long-time friend is painful. Our veterinarians and staff work with clients to ensure their pet’s comfort and dignity. Services include taking care of the remains as directed by the client.

Radiographs are valuable diagnostic tools used in veterinary medicine. X-ray images (radiographs) allow our doctors to examine the body for injury or disease. Radiographs allow for examination of bones, as well as of the heart, lungs, and abdominal organs.

Some pets require special food, and all pets benefit from a balanced diet.  At each wellness checkup, our veterinarians will discuss your pet's current diet and help you to make any adjustments for optimal health.
